CORESafety TV: June 2019
It’s National Safety Month… Don’t Let a Friend or Coworker Become a Statistic
Welcome to the June edition of CORESafety TV — the online video program from the National Mining Association.
This is National Safety Month, as recognized by the National Safety Council (NSC), CORESafety and hundreds of other organizations across the country.
This year’s theme is “Don’t Let a Friend or Coworker Become a Statistic” and the focus is on spreading the word to help prevent injuries and deaths at work, on the roads, and in our homes and communities.
In this episode of CORESafety TV, we take a look at recent national accident statistics and the four NSC categories – 1) Hazard Recognition, 2) Slips, Trips and Falls, 3) Fatigue and 4) Impairment.
We also explain:
- How to implement an assurance process (CORESafety Module #17)
- Why it’s important to conform with that process
- What the “Core 4 Tips” for June 2019 are all about
