CORESafety TV: July 2019
Some Real World Insights Into Leadership and CORESafety
Welcome to the July edition of CORESafety TV — the online video program from the National Mining Association.
Leadership development is a process that begins with leaders understanding their strengths and weaknesses. This understanding helps leaders focus on areas of potential improvement. CORESafety emphasizes that leaders in mining operations have the responsibility and the opportunity to influence how safety and health management (SHMS) is viewed throughout their mining operations.
In this episode of CORESafety TV, we hear from safety executives in two operations already using CORESafety as their SHMS – Lance Tinney from Dyno Nobel and Matt Pedersen-Howard from Peabody Energy.
We also explain why it’s important to –
- Develop a documentation retention process (CORESafety Module #18)
- Keep records legible and identifiable
- Determine performance trends
