CORESafety TV: December 2018
Welcome to the December edition of CORESafety TV — the online video series from the National Mining Association. In this episode, we take a look at Module #11 and examine how change management can help prevent changes within your operation from:
- Introducing new hazards
- Negatively changing the risk rating of existing hazards
- Degrading controls
In order to be successful, you must be able to proactively look for and control change at every level of your organization and across functional areas, including emergency management. Once hazards are identified, risks assessed and prioritized, and controls implemented, you and your workforce should look for any changes that can increase unacceptable risk. Those changes should be managed in the same manner as any other unacceptable hazard or risk through appropriate and effective controls.
