Change management means identifying changes in your organization and mining operation that may introduce new risks or may increase unacceptable risks. 

You should always be proactively looking for and controlling change at every level of the organization and across functional areas, including emergency management.

The change management process should include changes that are:

• Planned or unplanned 
• Temporary 
• Incremental or permanent

It should also affect the operation’s plan and/or its facilities, as well as:

• Processes 
• Systems 
• Procedures 
• Equipment 
• Products 
• Material
• Organization 
• Personnel
