CORESafety TV (September 2022): Drones in Mines: An Innovation Update
Welcome to the September edition of CORESafety TV — the online video program from the National Mining Association.
A little over a year ago, we introduced you to two researchers from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Dr. Pedram Roghanchi and Dr. Mostafa Hassanalian are working to develop a drone that will fly safely in coal mines and will be considered permissible by MSHA.
CORESafety TV’s Nelson Duffle checks in to see how they’ve been progressing on this month’s Innovation Update episode.
To learn more about the drone research being conducted by Dr. Roghanchi and Dr. Hassanalian, watch their first CORESafety TV interview that appeared in June 2021.
Also this month, we take a look at CORESafety’s Module #9 on Reinforcement and Recognition.
