CORESafety TV (April 2020):
Precautions That Miners Should Take
During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Welcome to the April edition of CORESafety TV — the online video program from the National Mining Association.
Novel Coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 – is continuing to have a serious impact on countries around the world as it spreads at a rapid and deadly rate.
For the most part, all non-essential businesses in the United States are currently closed and employees are being told to shelter-in-place or stay at home.
Meanwhile though, the American mining industry is coming together to aid communities and to help fight COVID-19 while producing the materials and fuels needed to keep the country running.
National Mining Association members are doing their part by providing financial assistance, educational tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
In this episode of CORESafety TV, we provide some basic tips on what mining operations and miners can do to help prevent the greater spread of COVID-19.
NMA has created some important infographics on social distancing, handwashing and cleaning safety. We encourage you to download these, post them on your company website and share them throughout your mining operation.
